SUMMER UPDATE - The Cadets! (schedule adjustment)

Greetings, all! As many of you know, one of our very own HMK members has been spending his summer performing with the Cadets, a World Class Drum and Bugle Corps who has won the Drum Corps International World Championship 13 times! While Peter is the youngest Cadet this year (the average age is over 20...Peter is 17!!!!) he has been doing himself and HMK proud as a "demon" in this year's production of "Between Angels and Demons."

Although the Cadets are based out of Allentown, the corps has spent most of the summer out west (they are traveling over 20,000 miles), they are making their way back east for some HUGE events. On August 3rd, the corps will be REHEARSING AT HEMPFIELD HS IN PREPARATION FOR A SHOW AT WEST CHESTER UNIVERSITY!!!! Entitled "Drum Corps: An American Tradition," the WCU show will feature the Cadets, Blue Devils, Cavaliers, Santa Clara Vanguard, Madison Scouts, and Jersey Surf! Everyone should come out during the day to support Peter and watch one of the best marching ensembles in the WORLD as they rehearse at Hempfield Stadium! there are still tickets available to the West Chester show...visit www.cadets.org!

Because of this event, we are moving our rehearsal scheduled for Wednesday, August 3rd to Thursday, August 4th. The rehearsal will still run from 6-9 PM. We hope that this doesn't cause any inconvenience - please bring any new schedule conflicts to our attention as soon as possible!
