HMK @ BOA!

On September 20th, the Hempfield Marching Knights traveled to Pittsburgh for their first ever Bands of America Regional Championship. Bands of America Championships are the most prestigious marching competitions in the United States and feature only the premier bands from across the country!

In their first Bands of America Regional Championship, the Hempfield Marching Knights placed 2nd in Class AAA during preliminary competition and earned a birth in the BOA Regional Final against the top bands from Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, and Virginia. In their first ever BOA Regional Final, HMK placed fourth in Music Performance, fifth in visual, and tied for first in general effect music, finishing in 5th place overall! Congratulations to the Marching Knights on this incredible achievement, and continue to BE GREAT for the rest of the 2014 season!
