Hempfield ROCKS at District 7 Band!

The 2012 District 7 Band Festival featured 120 of the best student instrumentalists from Lancaster, York, Adams, and Franklin counties gathered together with the sole purpose of creating sonic art at the highest level. Thirteen students from Hempfield participated in this year's festival (the most of any school District 7 school), maturing greatly as musicians during the two days under the baton of Dr. William Berz of Rutgers University.

Congratulations to the three Hempfield students will move on to participate in the Region V Band Festival - Megan (flute), Miriam (bass clarinet), and Marian (trumpet) will perform with the best instrumental students from Central and Northeastern PA (15 counties!).

This year's guest conductor is Dr. Jason Worzbyt of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The Region Band Concert will be held at Chambersburg High School on Saturday, February 25th at 7 PM.
